How to get involved – what we need
from you
(a)
Musicians and Performers
Simply email in to
to register your interest, and provide us
with:

Performing
Name
·
Description
(max seven words – to go on posters and other publicity)
·
Contact
details for publicity (phone/email/MySpace/Website or whatever)
·
Personal
contact details if different (a phone number is very useful for us in case of
bad weather cancellation, if not included in the above)
and you’ll go on our
‘Potentials’ elist (see ‘Mailing Lists’ page).
From that point on you’ll get automatic notification of all upcoming
Events and an invitation to participate in each.
As soon as you can commit to coming to any specific Event, let us
know the above details if we don’t already have them, and also
·
Name
and date of Event (if it’s a two day event, whether you’re available for first
or second day or both or either)
·
Earliest
start time
·
Latest
finish time
·
Maximum
total playing time you can manage (for busy events our ‘timed slots’ are
30-40”, including set-up and clear-off, most people do 2-4 sets per day)
·
Whether
you need travel expenses, and if so how much
·
Any
special requirements (novel venue, wooden dance floor, preferred venues,
whatever) and
·
If the
Event includes ‘extras’ (Stone Circles Music, Pub Sessions or whatever) whether
you are interested in these.
We’ll then confirm your
‘booking’ either with exact specific details, or more generally (eg ‘Saturday 3
slots between 12 and 4.30’); in the second case we’ll confirm your exact itinerary
as soon as we can. Then just turn up
and play and enjoy!

The more flexibility
you give us, the more likely you are to get slots – but if you’ve particular
requirements we can usually meet them

Once we’ve confirmed
please consider yourself ‘booked’ so let us know promptly if your availability
or requirements change

support with what we’re doing here – Could you

Distribute posters and
flyers round your local area to where potential
musicians/performers may see them? We
can send you hard copies through the post, or e-materials

Distribute posters and
flyers round your local area where potential punters will see them?

Help set up good links
to MySpace/other appropriate web-sites?
It’s in all our interests to have the best links we can, we all want as
many people as possible to know what we’re doing
·
Help draft and
distribute press releases (including for your own performances here)?

Help with
set-up/take-down on Event days?
·
Help build effective
working links with other organisations for mutual benefit?
·
Become a Member of the
Company? Your only liability would be
to contribute £1.00 if we go belly-up, but you get the right to vote at formal
meetings to control overall strategy and appoint/dismiss Directors
·
Become a Director of
the Company? We urgently need skilled
committed people to join our small Board to keep the Company on track and to
direct its future strategy
·
